We have successfully invested, operated, built, and managed dozens of assets including (but not limited to) assisted living facilities, multi-family properties, manufactured housing communities, office buildings, land, oil and gas portfolios, recreation vehicle communities, and storage facilities.

The owner of The Boston Group, Dave Johnson, has oversight of every single project, property, investment, and asset. Dave is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and is recognized as an expert in real estate management. Our History:

The Boston Group was founded by Dave Johnson, a small-town farm kid from eastern Washington, in 1985.

Dave’s dream of owning his own firm started when he was in college. He started selling apartment complexes after a friend encouraged him to get his real estate license. Dave started taking ownership interest when he would sell a property and eventually he was offered a property manager position.

After graduating college, Dave decided to pursue his dream of owning his own firm, and so, The Boston Group was established in 1985 with one contract and a single desk that he rented out inside of a mortgage broker office.

35 years later, The Boston Group, is a thriving investment and property management firm and has nearly 40 assets under management, with twelve of them being housing communities that hold over 3500 tenants.

Dave Johnson – Owner and Founder of The Boston Group

Dave Johnson is first a dedicated husband, father to ten children, and grandfather to 25 grandchildren. Secondly, he is a passionate business owner, investment, and management professional who holds credentials as a CPM (Certified Property Management), coupled with a prestigious AMO (Accredited Management Organization) accreditation.

Dave started The Boston Group in 1985 and has since brokered, managed, operated, and sold over $100 million of real estate from residential homes, RV communities, office buildings, apartment buildings, assisted living centers, world class storage facilities and everything in between. He continues to challenge the status quo in the investment and property management world by looking for unique opportunities and discovering unseen potential.

Leslie Mudd – VP of Operations and Accounting and Strategic Assistant

Leslie Mudd served her country as a non-commissioned officer for the Texas Army National Guard for 8 years as a finance and paralegal soldier. After completing her military career, equipped with a bachelor’s in Management/Accounting from Park University and an Associate in Paralegal Studies, she undertook a position at Recruit Veterans, LLC as a budget and forecast analyst for 4 years. Now at the Boston Group, Leslie’s responsibilities involve serving as the strategic assistant to the owner, portfolio management, and management of operations for the company. Leslie brings her 15 years of leadership and management experience to the success of The Boston Group team.

Lindsey Peterson – Director of Property Management

Lindsey has had a diverse career as an executive recruiter, apartment manager, and director of people and culture. She is now the point person for property managers and facilitates the connection from the field to the corporate office. Lindsey is a go-getter who has demonstrated great ability in communication, organization, problem-solving, and getting things done effectively.

Lindsey graduated from Western Governors University with a Master’s in Business Administration and is currently a candidate for IREM’s Certified Property Management program. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese from her religious service in Taiwan and is currently learning Spanish. Lindsey is motivated by her husband and three spunky kids. She enjoys playing the piano, karaoke, and traveling with her family.

Victor Maze – Marketing Manager and Multimedia Designer

Victor has led a remarkable career as a Graphic Designer/Photographer in his 20+ years working in design and marketing. Serving as the Graphic Designer & Marketing Specialist at The Boston Group he will play a major role in design, web development, photography, and video production. Through his commitment to this role, he will help achieve our marketing goals.

Prior to taking on his role, Victor gained valuable experience as Marketing Coordinator for Heritage Operations Group who owns and manages over 40 skilled nursing and assisted living communities throughout Illinois.

Deneatria Moenga – Accounting Supervisor

Deneatria is a recent graduate from Western Governors University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She initially gained her love for accounting by primarily working in accounts payable, office management, as well as various customer service roles. She is always eager to learn new things and plans to apply her previous experiences to her current position. She joins the accounting team by assisting with the financials and hopes to continue to drive the success of The Boston Group while she furthers her education by obtaining her master’s degree.

Tanya Alicea – Accounting Professional

Tanya Alicea was born in Puerto Rico. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Metropolitan University of San Juan, PR. She gained over 15 years of experience working as an accounting professional for different industries like automobile dealerships, hotels, and CPA firms. She worked as a Bookkeeper Level III for the Cumberland County School District from 2013 – 2021. These diverse industries provided her with growth opportunities and competitive experiences in the accounting field.

In October 2021, she moved to Texas and joined The Boston Group Investment & Management company. A great experience that will challenge her in many ways as she continues to grow in the accounting industry.

Korine A. Mangatmag – Accounting Professional

Korine Adgil Mangatmag is a pacific Islander born and raised in the Island Yap, one of the Federated States of Micronesia. She traveled to study abroad when she started high school and college. She earned her Associate degree in Business Tourism Management and pursued further by earning her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration concentration on International Tourism and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Guam. Korine believes that it was the accounting career that had chosen her when she started her first hired job as an accountant right after college.

Thereafter, Korine continued her passion in accounting for four years from working for an Australian owned Company Morrico Heavy Equipment as an Account Receivables to working for Dickerson & Quinn an International Distributor as a Data Entry Accountant. In August 2022 she moved to Texas and is now a proud employee of the Boston Group Investment & Management company. A great opportunity that will further her growth in the Accounting Profession. Korine’s thriving determination to excel comes from God, her husband Sky and two children Yuki and Yoshi.
